Editing break. I haven’t blogged in the office before, just because I’m so stiff with my schedule. Who has time to handle personal things at work, yeah? Well, this is my 10 minutes of proving myself wrong — that being creative, which is a personal pursuit, could be spontaneous (Oscar WildeWalt Whitman agrees: “Spontaneous me!”) and sometimes out of schedule (like this February blog post). And by creative I mean the ability to create something. And creation always has a purpose. And my purpose is to share to you some of Riz‘ latest posts because they’re so making me smile at my station now.
Go read ‘em:
1. A year of Saturdays — I wanna do this, too!
2. This made my day – “What does the dog say? Aw-aw! What does the cat say? Aw-aw! I love you! Aw-aw! Say bye-bye! Aw-aw!” LOL-ing IRL all by myself, AT MY DESK!
3. That Saturday afternoon at Harbour Square – Reminds me of my own “APs”/cellmates
PS I promise to blog more often. At work. During break times, ‘course.
PPS I also lurked in her blog and found some interesting letters from somewhere.
Ohh, and do it! Engage yourself in a creative project! It helps sometimes to be “forced” to create something. Go go go!
Haha. Thanks for sending some traffic my way, Shadz!
And yes, I do blog at work sometimes! The extra challenge is to come up with something in as little time as possible.
It’s a curse and a blessing to be in the industry we’re in, no? Work and leisure, online pareho!
)
Lastly, it’s always a pleasure to inspire you.
E tayo kaya, when will we have pictures together??
Why is it that when you comment on my blog I always go “Oh, my God!”?
Haha! Mashado na ba kong fangirl? Anyway, it’s been busy at work lately and I just make it a point na I read your blog once or twice a week to keep my sanity. Of course, God has been great with His plans–walang mintis in whatever He said He’ll do. Thing is, ba’t nahihirapan akong mag-set ng time for the things I used to do with all my heart, soul, and brain cells?
So say nothing of me sending you visitors and stuff (I just overdo it sometimes, methinks). Keep shining, Riz.
Just saw this. You make me smile you know that?
“Thing is, ba’t nahihirapan akong mag-set ng time for the things I used to do with all my heart, soul, and brain cells?” –I wonder that too!
I guess we’ll just have to do our best with what we have and trust God for the results. (And lol, did I just quote Jeremy Lin like a fan girl??) See. We’re so alike in so many ways. Haha.
God bless you today, Shadz!
Oh my, thanks for the idea, Yatin. I’m sure my boss wouldn’t mind if I do it during my break.
Make blogging part of your work schedule convince your manager it increases productivity, now you’ll have to be creative here to explain how but I am sure you’ll come up one
